I had a tour of LES in October. The grass looked absolutely awful.
It looked like it had been watered 5x that day at least, and there was definitely some patchiness. This was on a road game week.
The rest of the stadium looked to be in disrepair as well, but that's a story for another day. I particularly liked how the tables set up for catering events looked to be stolen straight out of a stake center, with crayon markings all over them. That, and the home team locker room that looked like it was some kid's Eagle Scout project to put together a bunch of particle board lockers.

How much could new turf possibly cost? Get a local sod farmer to donate the turf and give them free publicity at LES!
