We had a good team. The competition was not very good. We beat almost all of them. Not that different from the 70’s and 80’s heyday.

2021– we may not have faced a ton of great P5 quads, but we beat a lot of P5 squads both at home and on the road. We beat Rose Bowl Utah sans Rising, but it was still Rose Bowl Utah.

You simply can’t write off 2021 as a matter of lousy competition, because the quality of wins holds up against any successful
BYU squad, period.
