I heard Slovis was told he had to win the starting job and no promises were given. He won it but his lack of productivity through 8 games should re-open the position to a guy like Retzlaff…mobile and able to read a defense well enough to find the open man a few times cause Slovis sure can’t seem to make good reads/decisions. Everything gets easier when the QB has a clue and/or a sliver of mobility when the situation requires.
