My dad has had the same seats since the endzone was built. I have a million memories of watching games from those seats. As I got older and graduated from BYU I bought my own tickets in the endzone. They weren’t close to my dad’s tickets but every year I would try to get a bit closer. Finally a few years ago I was able to get the seats next to and in front of him. I have enjoyed these last few years being able to high five my dad after a Cougar touchdown. I have said it before, even if BYU went 0-12 for five straight years, I would still be in the stands for every home game. Everyone who knows me knows BYU football is my number one hobby.
I have been a member of Cougar Club for years.
I convinced my dad to join a few years ago but he is just at the lowest level.
I am absolutely bummed about the reseating. Partly for my dad but also because it has taken me so long to get where I am.
Having said that . . . I totally understand why it is happening and I accept it.
My family has been lucky for where our seats are for all these years. I will do what needs to be done to try and retain those seats, or at least get as close as possible. I will up my contribution to Cougar Club. I will embrace the change. After all, change is inevitable. I am actually sort of excited to see what is available when it comes my time for seat selection.
Go Cougars!!!
