everyone to believe the rivalry doesn’t matter. Stupid things like refusing to say the name, Y urinal pucks (I don’t know if that’s still a thing), making little jabs whenever he can, etc are fueling the rivalry—not making it meaningless to either group of fans.

Plus, personal vendetta aside, a good in-state rivalry should lift both schools and elevate national perception of football in Utah (as an east coaster, neither BYU nor Utah get much air time or conversation).
