context, and rivalries" was funny to listen to. Spence was a total crybaby, and ranted about BYU fans, tearing them apart for their thoughts on Kyle. It really seemed like he was about to cry, like it hurt him to the core.
Here's the thing. Kyle doesn't get the benefit of the doubt when he has a history of deflecting anything BYU related. He won't even say "BYU". He has acted dumb time and again when asked about BYU and has deflected. He has pretended Utah has other rivals now. He has down played the rivalry repeatedly.
Then when Spence asked him about BYU, he immediately grasped onto something that was entirely unrelated to the question, choosing to talk about the landscape of college football instead of what he thought of the rivalry. He then immediately shifted to downplay the rivalry and that it hasn't been what it was, and then shifted to talking about when it might be played and that it might not be the last game of the season (seemingly to further downplay it's importance). Any objective person can see what Kyle is doing here.
Kyle is a petulant, insecure man. He cares nothing for BYU and has no interest in the rivalry. He has largely contributed to the way Ute fans are.
