Anyone near La Jolla have a casita for 3 nights - BYU college couple in July?
My son and his wife are looking for 3 nights and everything is so much more than expected.

Wouldn't a hotel be cheaper?

La Jolla is very pricey. It will be tough finding a budget friendly place.

The last time I was in SD was 2021. There were airBnBs for <$140/night all in.

Get a tent and stay at the Dolly Parton beach campsite in Oceanside.
