A few more observations regarding Cougarboard, Flugaur, human nature, different opinions, etc.

Over time, it becomes easier to get a feel for someone. A neighbor. A teacher. A bishop. A boss. A coach. An employee. Etc. It’s one reason why most CBers respect BamaCoug. There is a record of rational, statistical information and thought behind his efforts. No loud name calling or temper tantrums. Simple efficiency. 🙏

Initially, I had my doubts about Greg Flugaur. But I’ve seen and heard enough of him to recognize sincerity, a lack of dollar-chasing; trust. Born deaf, he still struggles with things that are easy for most YouTube podcasters, writers, etc. Reading and pronouncing names properly can be a challenge for him. He admits it readily.

When BamaCoug calls in or donates $20, it lends credibility that he, too, trusts the guy. Which spreads like a flame in the woods. Thanks to Jeff Fuller.

Yesterday callers were saying, “Greg you are too opaque. We need more detail. This is a waste of time. Etc.” Cougarboard, similarly, has floated out comments like, “Don’t fall for this. He’s a troll. He’s just another Swaim or MHV3er. Dumb. Idiot. Eyerolls. A bum. Why even post his stuff? He’s in Minnesota. He doesn’t have B12 or P12 sources.” And so on.

But, truthfully, whereas Swaim might tweet, “A little birdie told me Clemson and Louisville have accepted B12 invitations and Argentina & Germany will also have soccer teams in the B12 (lol)”, yes I’m exaggerating but Flugaur is the opposite. Measured. Careful. He wants to share details but won’t because he gave his word not to. I trust that and him. He loves college football. Holy Smokes!

It wasn’t lost on me that as he began his show yesterday, Utah was still “not in the building” and Colorado did not have yet another executive board meeting scheduled. Both those things transpired during his 2 hour show. Just as he has predicted. Act 12 would begin on May 31-June 1 and there would be lots of action/movement.

He grew frustrated with those, like many on Cougarboard, who told him, “You said June 1st. Nothing has happened. Why?” Paraphrasing his response, “Good grief. I said Act 12 would begin on this date. Not end. Look around. Stuff is happening. Be patient. It’s not a coincidence that national writers are talking about Colorado. We’ve had the spotlight on them for weeks. On February 24 we changed the odds to the P12 being poached because we learned then that ESPN and others had no appetite for spending big on a regional conference without the LA market. Why do I use stage and play metaphors? I’m doing my best to share info without burning my contacts and trust. It will all come out. I’ve provided specific dates. All the dots will be connected and details of the significance of the May dates will be written about by others.”

When asked why he’s claiming Gonzaga drove away whereas others are reporting they are practically in? “Our info had them at an impasse with the B12. If I’m wrong, we’ll take the L.” You’ll rarely see Canzano or Swaim take an L. Instead there will be excuses and side steps.

“But his stage metaphors are so dumb.” I see it differently. He’s making a unique effort to provide info (more, truly, than from anyone else)… with specific dates, actors, etc. It’s not only entertaining, it provides insights. He has never guaranteed, for example, Colorado would flip. “Humans make human decisions.” But he, like most of the nation is now seeing, believes Colorado is leaving soon. Arizona too most likely.

People are so quick to dismiss his March 31, 2022 tweet to “Watch USC” as luck or a guess. No. The man does have informed sources. The USC story was enormous. Nobody saw that coming.
Greg has learned from that. It’s why, in part, he refuses now to clarify. He doesn’t want to be THE STORY. Just report and comment on it. But more importantly, he will never destroy the trust of his sources. Even while getting lambasted as crazy or a phony or a liar. He’s none of those things.

BamaCoug, like many others, will likely agree. It’s so easy to toss people and information aside. I do it. I don’t answer my phone or the door if I don’t know who’s there. I won’t give even the best of friends one second, if they’re selling me on MLM. I doubted the intelligence and abilities of Flugaur. Initially. But I trust him now. Could he be wrong? Of course. It would be an L. That’s okay. But he has earned the trust of many. For those who claim, “He hasn’t gotten anything right”, ….. really? I would beg to differ.

Keep watching. I don’t think an L is on the horizon. There is no P12 media deal. But there are lawsuits and there is a boatload of drama. The league is disintegrating. Just as Acts 10-11-12 and probably 13 will verify. Keep your head on a swivel.

His show, “Peek Around the Corner” is exactly what he attempts to provide. His humility is also on stage. I like that.
