And that shows true this year as well. There's only 3 really strong, clear rivalries in the Big 12 going forward
TCU - Baylor
Kansas - Kansas St
Cincy - West Virginia
And those all happen the 2nd to last week. BYU gets Oklahoma that week.
On the one hand, it's cool that we get one of the big 2 as our "rival" for this year... but it may also speak to the difficulty in finding us a natural rival.
My best guess is that the penultimate week remains the rivalry week for those teams with real in-conference rivalries, but that the rest just kind of get thrown into the hodgepodge
