I felt compelled to join with all the talk on here about Utah fans as of late.
Truth is, I am a Utes fan. But I am a Ute fan who strongly believes we can all get along and interact and keep things friendly.
I read Cougarboard on a fairly regular basis because it’s an excellent source of news for college football in the State of Utah. If anything is happening with BYU, Utah or USU, it gets posted on here within a minute or two.
That is, you all are some of the most dedicated college football fans out there and you track every development with your own team and your rivals. Thanks for your diligence.
It’s also a good source for conference realignment. You all track every development with the PAC-12, Big 12, etc. so I just come here to see what’s new because I don’t like Twitter.
I am also in the camp of very much looking forward to BYU in the Big 12. More P5 games for BYU and more quality teams visiting the State is a very good thing IMO. I wouldn’t ever watch BYU vs. UMASS but I’ll be tempted to tune into the Cougars vs. Oklahoma St. I even treked down to Provo when Wisconsin was in town a few years back to see the storied Badgers program live.
I might try posting on here from time to time when I have something constructive to add or something positive if you all will have me. Another thing that makes college sports so great is the interaction between fans.
And both fanbases are in very fortunate situations with bright futures. Both teams are P5 and both are in good conferences. Utah has two P5 championships under its belt now and BYU will have the same opportunity shortly. You have a lot to be excited about.
My view is to be happy and excited about all of this great football coming up in our backyards and to be cool with everyone.
Thanks for reading.
