I had assigned parking at an apartment complex in Provo. The spots weren't marked very clearly and I had been parking one spot over from my assigned spot unknowingly. The person whose spot I had been stealing called the tow company and they booted me.

I called to get the boot removed and figured out the spot confusion. The guy apparently felt bad for me because he removed my boot and didn't charge me. He said he was friends with the manager of the complex and would get the spots fixed. Sure enough within a day or two new signs for the spots were up.
