BYU and Utah have kept their programs at relatively the same level for a while now. Utah has had better recruits on paper, but I don't see any marked improvement since the Urban Meyer days. I know they have better depth, and that is a big deal, but it has not translated into wins beyond beating up on a declining PAC conference.

Be honest, when you watch the top teams from the other conferences, and their speed and size, do you see that same look from the top PAC teams? I see a marked difference. Utah plays old-school assignment defense better than almost anyone. Beyond that, they are not special with or without Kool-Aid.
