the reward. So I personally am okay if the carpool lane is going right at the speed limit so long as it’s during a time of traffic when the general purpose lanes are all going slower than the speed limit.

But at times when you can easily travel at the speed limit in the general purpose lanes, then the carpool lane is not meant for someone who wants to travel right at the limit.
