really limited his offseason conditioning. The hope was to get him stronger (he was still terribly thin at that pt), but the shoulder didn't allow him to work his upper body much before Fall camp.
But, yeah, his decision-making was suspect much of that year. He was clearly playing a little full of himself, as a lot of "star" Sophomores often do. I was one of those calling for Jaren or Romney to replace him that season, so I certainly hear you on that. Even still, I don't ever recall feeling like he was failing because he couldn't process fast enough or wasn't accurate enough to get the ball consistently to where it needed to go.
What I saw was a kid who thought he didn't need the playbook all that much — trying to do his own thing a lil too much.
