2021 is looking like a year where we had an awesome schedule that didn't quite pan out as great with so many teams disappointing (...USC, Utah in particular). And we've had this a few times, where Ole Miss or Mich St or Texas ended up being terrible when we played them.
So I got to thinking, which schedule would you prefer? Talented, good teams without name recognition? Or bad teams with big names? Here's two options, with Sagarin rankings
Option A: Cincinnati (#6), Wake Forest (#18), Boise St (#31), SMU (#33), Oregon State (#37), Coastal Carolina (#41), San Diego St (#46), Air Force (#49), UTSA (#50), Houston (#51), Liberty (#52), Nevada (#53), Appalachian St (#55)
Or
Option B: Washington (#57), Florida St (#61), Washington St (#64), Georgia Tech (#68), Cal (#74), Northwestern (#75), Rutgers (#76), South Carolina (#82), Mizzou (#83), Colorado (#102), Duke (#106), Arizona (#133), Kansas (#134)
Obviously we'd rather have big names with good talent, but I'm curious which we prefer if we can only get one.
