And if it doesn't "fall apart", how confident are you that it at least doesn't take another step back with more departures between now and 2023-2024?

I saw a thread on CB suggesting we should eternally mock the "BYU back to the MWC" crowd now that we've been invited to the Big12.

Maybe we should wait till we're actually in the Big12. 2 years is a long time. Seems like things shift and change so much on a year-to-year basis. Let's not spike the football on mocking the "BYU to the MWC" crowd until we're safely in the Big12, and no teams have left the Big12, and we're assured the autonomy/P5 status is in tact, and we've negotiated a lucrative TV deal, and we're guaranteed the same seat at the table to NY6 and Playoff games as the other P5 conferences. Until these things bare out, let's not get too ahead of ourselves.

Call me paranoid but a lot can still happen between now and 2023-2024. Crazier things can and have happened. See the Big East.
