I've actually done a bit of real white water rafting (lots of big trips in Idaho). I think you'll like this boat. My tips would be to bring an experienced person along and grab a guidebook if you do anything big, as it will tell you the best way to hand the big rapids. Also, get a patch kit, a rescue line, and strap your gear down.
