No it would not have been. Real coaches do not quit. Doman was a fair weather
coach. So was Cahoon. So was Detmer.
If they could live where they wanted and be home for dinner, they were willing to coach.
Real coaches sacrifice through good and bad times and go wherever they have to go to find success. They all fight through setbacks and eventually make it happen.
That is why few NFL players go on to be successful coaches. They do not need the money and are not willing to pay the price.
