He's not the 3rd LB. They list more depth chart positions than there are starting spots, just like we do. Tooley is the top guy at his depth chart spot, but that doesn't make him a starter.
Utah lists two different MAC LB spots and rover. Only one of those and the rover are starters. Lloyd and Sewell. Sewell is not the extra guy. Utah wants to run 5 DBs most of the time and he's not one of them. Officially a LB since last year. He's not a nickel, free, or strong. Just like how Hansen was one of two starting LBs. He was not a 3rd hybrid who acted as their 5th DB. They started 5 DBs.
Kaho is not better than either of their two starters. Which means he's competing for situational scheme reps (3rd LB) and depth.
At this point he's probably competing for playing time with someone like Sione Fotu. And I doubt he's better.
