For those of us who aren’t football uniform purists please educate me

As to why royal tops with white pants are the best? I’ve seen that that combo is very popular on CB. It’s gotta be more than just personal preference. So many people like royal (me included), but not top AND bottom. Needs to be paired with white pants...why?
