can. The facility arms race has been taken way too far. Obviously we all want nicer things at BYU, but if sports are cancelled BYU is going to make it out alive. That won't be the case for many Athletic Departments.

It's just revenue to them. Revenue drives potential spending in most business models. Reduced revenue = reduced spending
