OK. So, first, I'm not assuming the worst, and second, the hypothetical
responses you used as examples aren't real things. Heaven forbid BYU ever say "so and so didn't want to live the honor code". That's crazy talk. If somebody says they'll live the honor code and you don't have an uber compelling reason to doubt it, you let them in.
And regarding GPA, if they are cleared by the NCAA and you don't have a really strong reason to believe they can't hack it in school, you let them in. Lots of schools much better than BYU academically find a way to get athletes through ... so should BYU. I stand by my original response.
