defends themselves. They never say, "student A had a 2.0 GPA" or "student A didn't want to live the honor code" or lots of other valid reasons. Students who don't get in are (reasonably) disappointed, probably mad some of the time, and likely not super objective. So they start talking, they mention they have stellar grades and that BYU just isn't treating them fair. However, on social media they have a platform and can say anything they want. Anecdotally, we do know of some grad transfers, so it's not like we can say that BYU is systematically denying all of them, so perhaps there is some legitimate reason when they do.
