Christmas list. It used to be that if you'd go to a big indoor sports tournament (basketball, volleyball, etc) where the players have sports shoes that they don't want to wear outdoors, they'd all show up wearing sliders. I went to a major VB tournament over the weekend with over 100 teams participating, and a huge chunk of the girls showed up wearing crocs.
