Yeah they would. The MLB pitcher would likely be a couple standard deviations better than anyone they ever got
A hit off of. Likely the pitcher has 4 pitches better than you’ve ever seen. And you can’t just shake the rust off like that.
Give a really good HS player a couple months to get the swing back, maybe, but doing the hardest thing to do in sports cold against an elite pitcher is going to struggle to put one ball in play.
