o Kalani sent shockwaves through Cougar nation when being interviewed on ESPN College Football live he said “Well, we don’t have a bowl tie-in this year so I’ve told the boys from day 1…we’re going to the Playoff or we might not go bowling at all…I guess they took it seriously!”
o The Aggies take a break from their cow-breeding and pretend to put up a fight. This lasts for about 34 seconds. Tanner hits Bushman for a 23 yard gain right up the middle and then nails Shumway on a double-move over the top for a TD in just two plays. There is much moo-ing and gnashing of teeth (what little teeth are remaining at least).
o Butch racks up an astounding 17 tackles, forces a fumble and evens adds an INT early in the 3rd quarter. The defense is making this Aggies team look confused, then scared, then downright defeated.
o For the first time all year, Tanner really breaks out and hits the 400 yard mark. He and Ty really look on the same page and it’s nice to see Ty get to run his offense with a guy that seems more equipped to do so. Like a good point guard in basketball, Tanner distributes the ball well and makes everyone around look better than they might otherwise look.
o This one is never close and the Cougars make a solid case to enter the top 4 not even half-way through the season! 48-7 BYU rolls.
