Starter
By the same logic that would imply were are thin at RB
Seems both positions have some young talent but I think coaches may be concerned at RB with guys not named squally.

I find the Matt Hadley news of playing at RB during spring ball kind of odd...

He was pretty good at RB in high school.

One of the best in the state good.

Right -- he was very good. Not exceptionally fast, but very good on YAC. Was a decent reciever too.

None of our backs are exceptionally fast. (And I haven't forgot Burt.)

Connell is a tiny school. They have a nice program

I assume it means they are deeper with talent at Safety than we fans think

Or that they know Hadley is not safety material

I think it means his main role will be kick returns personally

I think Burt will hit the ground running behind Squally, Jury is still out on

Sounds like it is experiemental

Right, and I'm all for that. It's a mixture of the lack of experience behind him

Sorry that's not the post I have linked, but its the one on the front page of CB

It's quite odd and very unnerving considering what we have behind Squally...

Jacobson was a starter for TTech his true freshman year, he is a RS-Soph
g$

and England will be a RS Soph as well.

Pretty sure Garrett England is a true freshman (even though he was in the same recruiting class as Kai Nacua).

You're right I was thinking Austin Lee.
molodyets
3/1/17 5:04pm
I thought Jacobsen played last year, no?
thebruce

Yes, he played in every game

I remember hearing that now, I actually grabbed that info off the depth chart on
TrueBlue1

NVM they have it right, he's listed right next to England and I must have
TrueBlue1

If he's getting reps at RB, he's not the expected starter at safety.
molodyets
3/1/17 4:36pm
He mentioned post practice today that he was planning on starting at Safety
TrueBlue1
3/1/17 4:45pm
Even though he's not here for spring, Chaz will see the field in the fall.
fulano
3/1/17 4:56pm
I'm sure he will, hopefully the transition from HS to College will be fairly
TrueBlue1
3/1/17 5:07pm
Perhaps. I think even w/out Hadley, Chaz has a very upward

Remember, our starting DE/LB Harvey Langi played a little RB last year
RenoCoug
3/1/17 5:02pm
Right, and the year before too. But that's just it, if they're looking for a big

Where did you come up with your #1? That's part of the issue.

3/1/17 5:38pm
I agree that he played about as well as safety last year as Hannemann did at CB
TrueBlue1
3/1/17 6:19pm
I don't think he played as well as Hannemann did at corner.
southernfriedcougar
3/1/17 10:35pm
Fonua as well, right?
ag4cougs
3/1/17 9:29pm
He's only listed on the depth chart at OLB behind Bernard, but it's possible..
TrueBlue1
3/1/17 9:43pm
Fonua has been and will be a LB. He's not going backward
southernfriedcougar
3/1/17 10:36pm
I believe you, but he has taken reps at RB this Spring, right? Loyalcougars has
