I get what you are saying...
It's difficult to find good assistants at BYU. Rose did have Heath Schroyer, Dave Rice, and Mark Pope, all of whom are superior than any of the current bunch. Jeff Judkins would make an excellent assistant coach for one.
I'm sure there are some alumni who would be willing to help Tom Holmoe pay for some better assistants.
If the football team can get Detmer and Lamb then the basketball team can do better too.
