That's an Apple discount for you.
It's not a BYU thing, it's an Apple thing. One of the many reasons why I stay away from Apple. I would be extremely suspicious of an Apple laptop on Amazon being offered for $300+ less than in stores. It's probably refurbed or counterfeit. There's no other way that would make a profit on that.
