I haven't looked into it recently and I don't buy apple stuff either, but the prices seemed really high to me when I looked at them. The thing is you can buy stuff elsewhere and still get a student discount (like amazon sometimes). And there are lots of places to buy tech stuff that is discounted anyways. I never pay the MSRP for stuff like that.
It is pretty cool to get discounted software, although I usually get free software as a student anyway.
