I worked with her. Is that not a colleague?
Harrison0Yfan
10/12/15 7:05pm
I think most people don't refer to others as colleagues until after they start

Gotcha. Yeah I think it might be specific to established careers for some people

It would be interesting to see how Intermountain would respond if the BYU wanted

All depends on whether there is money to be made.
Virginia Ute
10/12/15 7:24pm
I can tell you one thing. Intermountain does NOT want to be affiliated with a DO

Do hospitals ever take students from multiple schools?
KingDave

All the time

Do teaching hospitals see med students as a burden but also free labor?
KingDave
10/12/15 8:16pm
Med students provide no useful services in a hospital

Med students cause more work for everyone. Residents are the cheap labor.

I believe so, but it's rare. IIRC, some of the bigger Boston hospitals take

It was at a meeting with a Q&E. Someone asked him if BYU would be getting
Monomachos

What are you talking about? What federal regulations would possibly impede BYU
Flyingdolphin
10/12/15 7:47pm
I think they're worried about ties to federal funding, of which US Med schools
Harrison0Yfan
10/12/15 9:08pm
BYU already received millions in federal funding
concolor couguar
10/12/15 10:08pm
Very possible. Maybe that's why he said he doesn't think it'd be an issue
Harrison0Yfan
10/13/15 8:12am
I'm just the messenger; that is what he said but he really did not explain it
Monomachos
10/12/15 11:02pm
I think he cited cost, I don't remember hearing anything about federal rules

Does BYU enforce it with their grad programs?
Virginia Ute
