I'm aware of board games. I wasn't aware of the extent to which some people get
into them. It appears that the hobby related to these goes beyond just playing them and gets into collecting, reviewing, etc.
Growing up my family had a few games and my own kids are pretty young and are just getting old enough to be able to sit through a board game like Candyland, but we're still years from playing Settlers of Catan or similar things.
