Yeah, it was a surreal experience. Performed by one of those 80 year old mission doctors. He used forceps for dissection along with sutures from a suture removal kit. No local anesthetic. Then irrigated with a betadine saline solution. It ended up being about a 1 x 1 inch open wound when he was done. He put me in what I believe was amoxicillin. I feel pretty lucky it didn't end up a lot worse. Bottom line don't mess around with spider bites especially in recluse country.
