He doesn't get to choose how the recruiting game is played. He needs the best

players he can possibly attract to BYU. If he can't bring himself to play the game and do what's necessary to bring in the best players, he's in the wrong job.

Refusing to break rules, that's perfectly fine and even expected. But dealing with prima donnas is in your job description when you sign up to coach young athletes. Hopefully, the vaunted BYU environment can help them mature.
