Elvis, Beach Boys, Carpenters, The Cars, New Kids on the Block: explanations
Elvis: He's the King, seriously, need I say more?
Beach Boys: inspired a complete youth movement towards the surfing lifestyle.
Carpenters: I guarantee you that you know the words to at least 1 Carpenters song, probably 5 or more.
The Cars: They lead the 80's music revolution. They were making 80's music in the 70's. 1976 to be exact.
New Kids on the Block: love 'em or hate 'em, they were the first REAL boy band. Don't give me this Menudo or New Edition crap. Boy Bands weren't trendy until New Kids came along.
