The Rose is a semi-final game and their is no guarantee that PAC/B1G will even play in it. But it could be that in years they don't split the full $80M as the participants that they split a smaller portion resulting in those leagues receiving $23.5M this year vs $40M in years they are the contracted teams. It will be interesting to see how this works out but I haven't read enough to know the answer.
