I can say with certainty that the way this is written the $4M is for a teams participation in a NY6 and the $6M is for a semi-final game which is different than what you listed. It explicitly mentions that no more money is aligned to the championship game....just the NY6 and semi-finals....
But my further question to you would be - where else does the bowl get money to make a payout as large as you listed in addition to what is already being split other than from the TV revenues? Corporate sponsors? - I would think those get wrapped into what the TV broadcasters recoup in advertising dollars to help them pay the TV revenues.
I don't have an answer there and like I said can't refute those additional payouts you listed but I also have seen a cited source that differentiates between the different payouts. Then again my source is Wiki which of course may not be 100% correct....
