It’s what avid sports fans do, sometimes habitually, and sometimes in their weakest and worst moments as part of their fandom for their own team.

I’ve seen even great people and active sports families that would normally condemn such sour grapes following a loss resort to this exact line of whining when BYU beats their squad. It’s not to be taken seriously or given any attention. People whine about the team that’s just beaten them all the time. We do it too. This just happens to be a common line of criticism levied by LDS against BYU.

Often, it’s an indication that the exact thing they’re whining about should be continued with all diligence.
