Young has openly said multiple times that he has guys who deserve more minutes
He’s also proven at least as many times that he will play the guys who have earned it and give the team its best shot at winning.

We could dedicate an entire thread to the guys that elevated their roles and played themselves into our lineup. And you’d have just as many examples of how those same guys helped us win games.

From the very beginning of the year, I had questions on how Young was going to sort out his rotation. You could see that some very good players were going to get left out. Young went all the way to 11 deep. He took two guys that had been established starters and successful in their roles in Hall and Fouss and moved them to the second unit. However, both have been on the floor in crunch time for us and delivered at key moments. He has benched our NBA 1st rounder Egor in games where he struggled in favor of Hall. Then he’s gone right back to Egor the very next game.

My only head scratcher was benching Catchings at the end of the Baylor game, where he had been perfect, and the issue was very much in doubt. And that can be debated as Young talked about exactly why he had done so.

In short, KY accrued a lot of talent, and not all of that talent was going to be able to be on the floor. The results speak for themselves. He did a fantastic job.

If players who didn’t get to play much or at all this year or frustrated, that’s their right. In today’s world, some of them will probably leave.
