Lighten up the pressure. You may think you were already using a soft touch, but
turn it up to 11, then realize you're still pressing too hard. A sharp blade doesn't need any help from you to cut a human hair.
Also make sure you go with the grain on first pass. Parts of your neck may be asymmetrical for this so don't just go always down or always up.
