(and again specifying that I have no issue with BamaCoug's analysis), I do think there's a tendency for many in the fan base to desire and look for opportunities to claim we're the victim and being conspired against.
The things Bama is saying (accurately) have led a lot into overreacting with a "everyone is working against us mindset"...which I don't think is what he intends.
But I do think it's worth trying to figure out how transfer ratings are assigned, especially when there's such limited time to do so. 247 (and others) have more personnel watching bigger teams so that could be a part of it. It's something I'd love more insight into - it's really hard to rate so many HS players, but they have years to do it, not weeks.
So bottom line, no issue with what BamaCoug is looking at or considering, but definitely see how it leaves the door open for less statistically-minded types to run with the conspiracy theory mindset
