God bless you and your family. The sacrifices of our military and their families is unfathomable. My father-in-law was from Downey Idaho. He joined the marines and fought in the pacific. He did an half dozen beach landings against the Japanese. He got shot annd lost an lung and several ribs on Guam. He survived and was sent to balboa naval hospital in San Diego. He met a navy nurse and the rest is history. We have photos of them frolicking at La Jolla cove in 1945. They were an amazing couple.
