Here's the largest college football stadium built in the last 60 years (since LES was initially built)
- *Lincoln Financial Field 68.5k
- *Accrisure Stadium 68.4k
- *Raymond James Stadium 65.8k
- *Hard Rock Stadium 65.3k
- *Alamodome 65k
- *Allegiant Stadium 65k
That is a complete list of every college football stadium built since LES that is larger than LES. And those marked with asterisks didn't/don't have the college football team as their primary tenant.
The largest college football stadium (that's actually designed for a college football team) built in the last 50 years is 61k for Louisville in 1998.
If we're looking at renovations for places with 80k+, no school has markedly expanded capacity to get up aroma and that number. Massively increasing capacity is absolutely not the trend right now, so I'd be shocked to see us do so. Especially if it would cost sonething like the $2B that Allegiant cost.
For reference $2B is a $20M NIL war cheat every year for 100 years
