No he was not, a good example would have been to teach his son accountability at the time but instead he chose to get his son out of the stadium while his victim laid on the field unconscious. His father did not in anyway set a good example for this young man he chose to show his son it's better to flee the scene of a crime and only take responsibility on his own terms rather then show him there are consequences for that behavior. It's also of note to ask why did this young man think it was ok the do that in front of his father? That is someone who's been raised with no fear of consequences for his actions.
