If you get into a fist fight throw punches and nothing lands do you get an
assault charge? No. If one lands? Probably yes especially if there is video evidence and injury. Dosent matter your intent. Dosent matter you were angry. Dosent matter others around you did it. I don't get this disconnect because it was a water bottle and he wasn't trying to hurt someone. It did. It did damage. That's assault. 1 to 2 years sentence would probably be 6 months actual time in jail. Fair outcome.
