I'm not in the camp of no punishment. But it's not hard to fathom grabbing the
bottle and just chucking it aimlessly. It's also possibly he meant up throw more directly on the field but had really bad accuracy. I also think he very well could have intended to throw it at the cheerleaders. If he did intend to throw at the cheerleaders, he may done so with the intent to hurt someone or he may have thought it would be an annoyance but not hurt someone.

Much of it was hatred for the refs not for BYU. The stadium was upset with the refs and protesting the ref's calls. More
