Also consider for a second some reality- not every player that jumps in the portal at a perceived position need is interested in BYU may come as a shock. Or maybe after conversations and digging in they are talented but not at all a fit culturally to the program, academically, their motivation isn’t a fit just a pure money grab, the investment is too risky, their ceiling has peeked, and maybe there’s younger talent in the program that has a higher upside?
