recruits, passionate football state, alumni.... The SEC just gave them extra oomph* they need to get to the top. I can see Texas and Georgia being the two battling for the top from here out. I didn't and don't see OU ever being in the top 4 – or consistently more than a mid to top mid team.

*When the B12 lost the first 6 schools, Texas lost the perception of 'playing with the best'. They always seemed to underperform.
