I don't think so. Lud and Whitt worked well together. That's why Lud turned down ND.
Lud had a lot of stuff on his plate, not just football related, but he didn't need to go back to the drawing board each week or with the offense because he had Rising and a talented WR / TE base.
Once Rising got hurt, he could make simple adjustments and still win. But when isaac really started to struggle...and Utah was out of the playoff picture...I don't think Lud had it in him to make a bunch of changes and rebuild the playbook.
Not with other things going on and already having a nice nest egg.
