While there may be an increase in prices for consumers in the long run
there will also be an increase in wages, job creation & reindustrialization which is absolutely a national security issue.
The 1991 post-cold war economic view that moving the entire US industrial base to a hostile communist nation that "plays the long game" while ensuring Americans that we can live off of low wages thanks to low prices at Walmart has been proven to be demonstratably false.
Going to be fun to watch the PLA fire hypersonic missles into Guam, Samoa & Hawaii thanks to 30 years of the US building up the Chinese Communists economy & military.
